Founded in 1946, Nagy’s Tractor Sales has been proudly family-owned and operated for nearly eight decades, serving farmers, landowners, contractors, and rural homeowners throughout Northeastern Michigan. Located on US-23 just north of Standish, Nagy’s has grown from a local tractor and farm equipment dealer into a trusted destination for tractors, implements, outdoor power equipment, parts, and service.

 

Over the years, Nagy’s built its reputation on knowledgeable staff, dependable service, and a commitment to helping customers find the right equipment solutions. As customer needs evolved, so did Nagy’s, expanding its inventory and service capabilities while maintaining the hands-on, relationship-driven approach that defined the business from the start.

 

Today, Nagy’s Tractor Sales supports residential, commercial, and agricultural customers across Mid and Northeastern Michigan. The dealership offers new equipment, parts, accessories, and service for leading brands, including LS Tractor, Husqvarna, Woods Equipment, Taylor Pittsburgh, Briggs & Stratton, Kawasaki, Honda, and Kohler. We recently added new manufacturers – Boss snowplows and Greenworks Commercial electric products and service to our lineup.  Our inventory includes compact and utility tractors, farm implements, zero-turn mowers, chainsaws, blowers, tillers, brush cutters, box blades, snowblowers, plows, and other professional-grade equipment.  We service and do warranty work on all the manufacturer's products we represent. 

 

In January 2026, Nagy’s Tractor Sales was acquired by M-Tech Dealership Management, a group of seasoned managers focused on working with retiring sole proprietors.  M-Tech engaged with owner, Dan Nagy, for over two years before the acquisition to help stage his retirement and transition management to his top-notch staff and M-Tech owner operators to preserve the Nagys’ legacy and grow the business with renewed energy.`

 

M-Tech will continue operate under the Nagy’s Tractor flag and conduct business as a family-run equipment dealership. Dan remains with the business as a consultant alongside M-Tech team members (and cousins): Michael Gruber - General Manager and Mike Petix - Group Manager, joining empowered staff members: Frank Smith - Sales Manager, Conner Swaffield – Service and Parts Manager, and Master Technicians – Rich Schnell and Chris Stone.  Dan and M-Tech are committed to providing a smooth transition for our customers and maintaining the relationships and standards that patrons of Nagy’s have come to trust and expect. This transition provides long-term stability, new investment, and the opportunity for growth while preserving the dealership’s local roots and traditions.

 

Today, Nagy’s Tractor continues to operate under the same name, at the same location, with the same commitment to service and customer satisfaction that has defined the dealership since 1946. Backed by M-Tech Dealership Management, our team remains dedicated to providing reliable equipment, expert service, and knowledgeable support for all your tractor and outdoor power equipment needs.
